To all of you amazing people who backed me on Pledge Music in 2018 — first and foremost, **THANK YOU**. Thank you for believing in me and for your patience throughout what turned out to be a strange and incredibly difficult journey.

The good news is: your support helped make this album a reality! We’ve now completed it, and as we move into the exciting release phase, I want to take this opportunity to clear a few things up.

What You Helped Build

This entire process gave me a mindset shift that has stayed with me, even when things didn’t go to plan. It showed me what’s possible when fans and artists work directly together — **without corrupt companies in the middle**. You proved to me that dreams are still possible; they just need a different path.

For that, and for every contribution — big or small — I am eternally grateful.

So, What Happened?

In 2018, thanks to your incredible support, we successfully raised around USD $23,000 through the platform. That was an amazing achievement I’ll never forget.

However, shortly afterward, Pledge Music unexpectedly filed for insolvency on **July 31st, 2019**. The funds you pledged — intended for the album — were never transferred to me. Despite completing the campaign, I received only a token advance, which barely covered the four months of work leading up to it.

The situation was devastating. And due to strict insolvency laws in the UK, all attempts to legally recover the funds failed. Thankfully, I managed to download your contact info from the platform just before it was taken offline — so I could stay in touch.

To be clear:

* You paid Pledge Music directly**, not me.

* They invoiced you** and held your funds.

* They never passed them on.**

In my view, their actions were unethical at best and criminal at worst. I’m truly sorry this happened — and although it wasn’t my doing, I apologise on their behalf.

What Happens Now

Despite everything, I’m incredibly proud to say: **the album is done.**

With the support of other amazing humans and private sponsors — who stepped in like angels when things looked impossible — I managed to bring this project over the line. I never gave up on the dream of delivering this record to you.

After almost **seven years** of writing, recording, producing, fundraising, and mixing, my album ***Pressing Matters*** is finally complete. And here's the truly great news:

*It’s set for release this year, and has been signed by GroundUP Music., Back in 2018, this would’ve been beyond my wildest dreams.

You’re Still Part of This

Even after everything, you’re still part of this journey for me. I’d love for you to join me as we now shift into release mode. I’ll be sharing lots of new content here on the website and across social media — and I want you to be a part of it.

Due to the loss of the Pledge Music funds and the high costs I’ve had to shoulder independently, I’m sadly unable to fulfill all physical orders from the original campaign. But:

I truly hope this makes up for at least part of what was lost. This situation has been far from ideal, but I’ve done my best to carry the project through, both artistically and ethically, in very challenging circumstances.
